I'll send you guys the links and install order later. They're pretty much just events you have a choice to pay for, but they increase traits. Trade fairs come through, grand religious councils, etc. They did this to reflect armies becoming "professional" in 13-14 centuries. Feudal Knights aren't available at first, then they slowly become available (recruit a unit every 6 turns), and towards the middle you can recruit them more frequently. No longer can you raise mega-armies in three turns. At first, you're stuck with basic units and merc's, and they totally revamped that system. I think they took everything good about M2 and make it better.

It kinda works like kingdoms, as in it doesn't overwrite core files, but rather adds SS in a mods folder. Oh, I forgot to mention, you need Kingdoms to run Stainless Steel. I bought Kingdoms and started the Brittania campain and just thought "Screw this.", you start off with like 50 towns! Ugh.Īnyway, would like to hear a little more about this mod.

They actually improved it? It also makes the game chug between your turns, as they added thousands of line of code. It makes the game a ton more difficult by adding a supply system, an even in more depth recruitment system (leaders need to be a member of a war council to recruit high level units.) for me, it didn't work on the extended map.
